Marisa del Campo
Marisa del Campo (soprano) has been implementing the Gill Mindful Voice Training Tools in her teaching for almost a decade. She is a singer, actor, teacher, coach, and vocologist in New York City who received her Bachelor’s of Music from the Peabody Conservatory, a Master’s degree in musical theater with an Advanced Certificate in Vocal Pedagogy (under the tutelage of Dr. Brian Gill) at New York University, as well as her Certificate in Vocology from the National Center for Voice and Speech.
As a performer, favorite roles include Jennifer in I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change, Jenny in Berlin to Broadway (Dal Norris, Stan Tucker) as well as Bunny in House of Blue Leaves (John Astin and Peg Denithorne). She also premiered the role of Melody in the off-broadway workshop of Casual Bob. Select opera credits include the world premier of The Furies, Die Zauberflöte and her critically acclaimed performance as Dorabella in Mozart’s Cosi fan tutte.
Marisa has toured with The Amalfi Coast Music Festival where she performed in Die Zauberflöte at the Serici Theater of the Royal Belvedere Palace – San Leucio. Marisa has collaborated on concerts that included arias, art songs, and musical theater material. She has performed with Grammy nominated artist, Chandrika Tandon, as well as singing at Carnegie Hall under the baton of John Rutter. She has written, self-produced, and performed numerous cabaret shows, the two most recent being, Somedays and Decades.
Marisa has been on faculty at New York University since 2010 as an Adjunct Instructor of Voice as well as being the former program administrator for the vocal pedagogy department. Her students have been seen in Broadway musicals, on National and International tours, studio and award winning independent films, television, and theater festivals as well as those accepted to prestigious University and performance training programs.Book A Lesson
