Kimberly Gill

Kimberly Gill has been employing the Gill Mindful Voice Training Tools in her teaching since 2003. She received a Masters in Voice Performance from The Ohio State University where she served as a graduate teaching associate, teaching private voice and an orientation class for freshman music majors. Her Bachelors in Voice is from Samford University. Kim enjoys teaching students of all vocal genres and was on the voice faculty at New York University’s Steinhardt School for nine years where she worked with Classical and Music Theater voice majors. She has also been an adjunct voice professor at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music and for the Musical Theater area in the IU Department of Theater. Current and former students have performed on Broadway Tours, with national theater companies, young artist training programs, in commercials and television series, and are teaching on university faculties. As a performer, Kim has sung nationally and internationally in opera, concerts and recitals. Some favorite operatic roles include Michaela (Carmen), Mimi (La Bohéme), Pamina (Die Zauberflöte), Antonia (Les Contes d’Hoffman), The Governess (Turn of the Screw), and Peep-Bo (The Mikado). Early on, Kim sang with young artist apprentice and training programs, such as Opera North, Berkshire Opera, and AIMS in Graz, Austria. Originally from South Carolina, Kim currently resides in Bloomington, IN.
